In 2025, e-Boks entered a new phase with the Danish private equity firm CataCap as new owner. With CataCap’s support, we are accelerating our strategic ambitions: investing in product innovation, expanding our commercial capabilities, and strengthening our position as the trusted platform for secure digital communication in both the public and private sectors. Our mission remains unchanged – to help people, businesses and institutions to digitally interact and service themselves efficiently and securely through our platforms, but our capacity to execute on that mission has never been stronger.

In 2025 alone, 598 million documents were sent through e-Boks supported by 425 million logins throughout the year. Globally, we now serve 24.8 million users, and during the year we welcomed more than 500 new customers to our platform.

These numbers reflect trust and relevance in everyday life. Behind every document is an important message: a pension overview, a healthcare notice, a contract, an invoice, a decision that matters.

Our platform delivered this at an uptime of 99.88%, ensuring stability and reliability at a scale that few digital infrastructures operate at.

At the end of 2025, Denmark’s universal postal service obligation came to an end, marking a significant shift in how citizens and businesses receive important communication. As physical mail becomes less central, the need for secure digital channels continues to grow. e-Boks is well positioned to support this transition, enabling organisations to reach users through a trusted and widely adopted platform as secure digital communication becomes the new standard.

2025 was also the year we took a significant step forward in making digital post easier to manage. Recently, we launched AI-powered functionality in the e-Boks app with one clear ambition: to make it simpler to be an e-Boks user. By introducing intelligent assistance that helps users understand, and navigate their digital mail, we are reducing complexity and saving time in everyday life while never compromising on data security and privacy.

A major international breakthrough in 2025 was our strategic cooperation agreement with Oman Post to establish Oman’s official National Digital Postbox. The solution will serve as the secure communication channel between public institutions, businesses, and citizens supporting the country’s digital transformation agenda and demonstrating the global scalability of the e-Boks model.

In early 2026, we completed the first acquisition in e-Boks’ history by acquiring a majority stake of the Danish tech company dewa, accelerating our strategic move into digital identity. This step strengthens our development of e-Boks ID and digital age verification solutions in anticipation of the EU’s eIDAS 2.0 regulation, which will establish a common European framework for interoperable digital identity wallets by 2027. With more than 100,000 downloads since launch, e-Boks ID is already gaining traction. Built on principles of data sovereignty, user control, and interoperability, this initiative positions e-Boks at the forefront of a new, regulation-driven growth market across the EU.

As stated in our annual report, e-Boks reported a revenue of DKK 215 million.  The increase was in line with expectations. Expansion into new sectors continued with strong growth in utilities, collection services, parking, and NGOs. Activity within utilities increased by more than 20%, while healthcare grew by more than 140%.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our customers and partners for their continued cooperation, and to our employees whose dedication and expertise drive our progress every day.

We are humbled by the trust that citizens, customers, and partners continue to place in e-Boks, and we look forward to continuing to develop our platform together with those who rely on it every day.
